Product Pricing

Prices, promotions and regions. Tied to the products you sell.

Keep a price list per channel and currency, and set regional prices without copying products.

Price recommendations wait for approval by default.

How it works

One coat, many prices. You decide what changes.

One coat, from price list to recommendation.

01Lists

A price list per channel and currency.

Give each product or variant a price and an optional MRP.

02Regions

Regional prices without copying products.

Group PIN or postal codes into zones with their own prices, then preview which zone price and promotion apply to a code.

03Recommendations

By default, recommendations wait for a yes.

Recommendations run through your rules, such as a margin floor or MAP, and each decision is recorded with who made it.

Also included

The rest of the pricing work.

  • Time-boxed promotions

Percent off, amount off or a fixed price on chosen products, by channel, currency and optional zone. Phased markdowns too.

  • Pricing rules

Margin floor, MAP, MSRP, cost-plus, rounding, competitor-relative or fixed, applied to recommendations and the price preview.

  • Price change history

Each price point keeps its old and new price and when it changed.

  • Competitor prices you record

Map products to competitor SKUs or URLs, record their prices, and compare yours with their low and average.

  • Cost models

Build a product’s cost from components or a bill of materials, then use it for a price point.

  • Tax classes

GST, VAT or sales tax classes by country and rate: before or after discounts, or included in the price.

Do manual edits need approval?

The change applies when you save it, and so do promotions and markdowns. Only price recommendations wait for approval by default, and an admin can switch that off. Pricing rules shape recommendations and the price preview, not manual edits. Separate pricing permissions control who can view and edit prices, change rules, run promotions and decide on recommendations.

Does the AI change our prices?

The Pricing optimization agent checks a product’s prices against your pricing rules and the competitor prices you’ve recorded, then flags issues with suggested prices in Insights. It doesn’t change prices, and its suggestions stay out of the recommendations list. It uses only price data already in CataZenta, not sales or order data, and automatic runs are off until you switch them on.

How are prices entered?

Prices, including the competitor prices you track, are entered in Product Pricing or through the API. Each currency’s prices are entered separately, without automatic conversion. CataZenta doesn’t import price files from CSV or Excel, scrape websites or monitor marketplaces, and it doesn’t send price alerts.

Where do these prices show up?

In site search, once you choose the price list, currency and zone it uses and have the Site search module. Shoppers can then filter and sort by price, and search updates a product after its price changes. Search shows the stored price, without promotions or markdowns. Brand Hub buyer portals can pre-fill quote replies from a price list you choose, but portal pages don’t show regional or promotional prices. Prices from Product Pricing aren’t sent to Amazon, Shopify or file feeds.

Is Product Pricing included with PIM Hub?

Product Pricing is an add-on to PIM Hub. It works on the same catalog, so you can add it when you need it.
